February 12, 2021: Vaccination for COVID-19 Administered to Sisters
A note from our provincial president:
We are thrilled to report that our Notre Dame Sisters have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week. Most of us were blessed to have Methodist Hospital staff come to Notre Dame Housing to administer the vaccine to the residents here, including the Sisters. Others have made use of other community opportunities to be vaccinated by their doctor or at their pharmacy. Some Sisters have even received the second dose.
The process was simple, easy, and painless. None of our Sisters has experienced any side effects due to the injection.
We are truly blessed that our community of Sisters has been virtually untouched by the COVID-19 virus, but all of us have experienced the effects of the pandemic. This vaccine brings us one step closer to the day when we can be together again with friends and loved ones. We encourage everyone to receive the vaccination.
~ Sr Margaret Hickey, ND, Provincial President of the Notre Dame Sisters
