A call for healing and hard work – a response to the storming of the US Capitol
A Message from our provincial president
Yesterday, January 6th, was a disastrous day for our nation. A day I hope we will never forget as we work together to restore our democracy, on each level of government and in every heart of our citizens. I watched the events first in disbelief and then faced the reality of what was happening.
A sacred institution was breached, our beliefs were trampled upon, a democratic process was interrupted, lives were lost and maybe faith in our country was diminished.
May we never forget that we, all of us, have hard work ahead of us; we need healing on many levels and we need to become a nation under God guaranteeing life and liberty for all. May it be so. For this I pray and pledge to work.
