prayer
association

The purpose of the Notre Dame Memorial and Prayer Associations is to provide an opportunity for you to honor, in a significant way, a loved one who has died, a friend on a happy occasion, or someone in need of special prayers.

You can honor the memory of your family member or friend through the ongoing prayers and works of the Notre Dame Sisters. If you make a gift to the Sisters, your gift allows you and them to share in the work and ministry of the Notre Dame Sisters.

To honor someone, request a remittance envelope or mail a note with the occasion you are remembering. A special card will be sent to the person or family you have enrolled in the Association. The card assures them that they will be remembered in the prayers and works of the Notre Dame Sisters. You will receive an acknowledgment of your donation and notification that an Association card has been mailed.

Another option if you wish, at the time of death of your relative, you may list the Notre Dame Sisters as a recipient of memorials. The Sisters are incredibly grateful for memorial gifts received.

You participate in making the world a better place by supporting the Sisters’ work. Your donation empowers the Notre Dame Sisters in their ministry with the poor and needy. A special Eucharistic Liturgy is celebrated each month at the Notre Dame Motherhouse Chapel for all members of the Notre Dame Memorial and Prayer Association; a Memorial Eucharistic Liturgy is also celebrated annually in November. Family and friends of those enrolled in the Memorial Association are invited.

The Memorial Association is for the deceased. The Prayer Association can be for illnesses, happy occasions or anything in between.
  • To enter the Memorial Association, we need some information about this person.
  • We will send a personalized card to the family of the person you are memorializing.
  • Your donation empowers the Notre Dame Sisters in their ministry with the poor and needy

Our Prayer for overcoming Covid-19

Protect. Pray. Heal.

Loving God, Source of all Creation, we praise and thank you for the life you give each of us.

Teach us to treasure this sacred trust.

In this difficult and challenging time for our world, we ask that you open our eyes to the needs of those around us, especially those who have no one to care for them.

Protect us from fear and anxiety that sometimes forces us to care only for ourselves and not others.

Help us to realize that all people are your special creations and help us to cherish and respect them and help us to respect our Mother Earth, our universal home.

Confirm in us our power to do good so that we are instruments of your peace in our troubled world.  Help us to bring about the peace you so desire for all humankind.

We pray all this with great trust, placing our lives in your hands. May Mary our Mother present our needs to your loving care now and always.
