Reflection for the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time…Nov. 19, 2023

A new sense of purpose is tugging at my inner self to look at myself more deeply into the coming season—first, in thanksgiving for the blessings of this past year—as well as for all the trials that were met there as well.

What an excellent opportunity to seek out old memories, good and not-so-good and put them away, not in anger but with gentleness and appreciation for lessons learned.  Like the tree outside my window –losing all its leaves –but trusting spring will allow new growth. May we all seek God with the same kind of trusting love.
