Reflection for the First Sunday of Lent, February 18, 2024

Reading: 1 Peter 3:18-22

This reading reminds us that the righteous, Jesus suffered and died for the sake of all humanity, and to lead us closer to God. Christ transcended death and showed us the love and power of God. So through this power and love we too can transcend death and join Him in heaven thanks to the cleansing power of Baptism and faith in Jesus Christ.

What can we do this Lent to accept God’s love and form a closer relationship with Him, and prepare ourselves for our coming time with Him?
