Reflection for the Seventh Sunday of Easter – May 29, 2022

By Theresa Wiggs, Notre Dame Associate

In the first reading Steven speaks of an amazing vision. He said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right Hand of God.”  Our readings this week reflect both on Jesus’s life on earth and his heavenly role.

Jesus became human and lived among his followers to show them and all of us how to live our lives in service to God. The gift of our faith is one to treasure and value. Each day we can choose to live our lives in service to God.

We hear a wonderful message from John’s Gospel. Jesus spoke of the great Love God has for us. We can trust in His love for us and pass that love on to one another each day. May God’s boundless love for us help each of us treat one another with dignity and respect.
