Reflection for the Sixth Sunday of Easter…May 5, 2024

1 John 4:7-10       John’s Reading challenges us to love one another.

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God:  Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is Love.

In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that God loved us and sent his Son that we might have life through him.”

The love of God calls us forth to love one another.  Be aware of love-giving this week.   Reach out to someone who needs care, support, a listening ear, challenge and maybe just a friendly smile. Amazing things will happen when we live LOVE.

“Love changes everything” By Andrew Lloyd Weber is reminder of what happens when we love.

“Love, love changes everything, hands and faces, earth and sky,
Love, love changes everything, How you live and how you die.

Love, love changes everything, Days are longer, words mean more,
Love, love changes everything, Pain is deeper than before.

Love will turn your world around, And that world will last forever.
Yes, love, love changes everything, brings you joy or brings you pain.
Nothing in the world will ever be the same.”
