After rereading both the Epistle and the Gospel I realized the connection that is there. He is teaching us to reverence the place of worship.  Then he gives us the Commandments and one of which is to reverence the Sabbath Day. And to reverence it we are not to do labor. How many of us fail in this commandment?  I know I have. (Fortunately the grace of forgiveness is offered us.)  How many blessings would be ours!

Let us reverence Sunday, the Lord’s Day, not only this Lent but throughout the year. And I repeat: How many blessings would be ours!
